The Federal Government of Canada recently launched the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) Information can be found at: Canadian Dental Care Plan - Canada.ca .The CDCP is a program that is intended to provide coverage for Canadian residents who do not have employer paid dental benefits and have a household income of less than $90,000 a year.
Those who are eligible to apply for the program must enter the information found in Box 45 on their 2023 T4, which represents the type of dental coverage you have with the University, as of December 31, 2023.
The information on your T4 in Box 45 may have been amended due to a coding error. We have updated your T4 slip with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and re-issued it in compliance with CRA guidelines.
IMPORTANT: This amendment does not affect your income tax filing, earnings or any other box values as reported on your original 2023 T4 slip.
You can access your amended year-end slips via Employee Self Serve by going to HR Self Serve and completing the following steps:
- Select the Payroll and Compensation tile
- Select the T4/T4A Slips tile
- Select View Tax Year 2023
- Click the View Details Button,
- Click the View Button for the Amended slip type
Both the original 2023 T4 and the amended 2023 T4 can be accessed via HR Self Serve. If you have previously indicated that you wish to have your T4 mailed to your home address, a hard copy of the amended T4 will be sent to you.
